Academic Task 1 Symptoms of Stress

The graph illustrates the impact of stress on participants. Respondents include both teenagers and adults who highlighted symptoms that were caused by stress that took place within the duration of the past 30 days before the survey.  Overall, the majority of the participants including both teenagers and adults think that they feel angry under stress. Further, more than a third of participants believe that they feel nervous and tired when in stress.  The most highlighting symptom of stress as responded by 40% of participants (both adults and teenagers) is “feeling angry”. Almost equal number of respondents (more than 35%) believe that they feel nervous and tired during a stressful period. Academic Task 1 Island Map

  The given maps display an island, pre and post development of facilities for tourism. Overall, the island has been turned into a holiday destination. Length of the island is approximately over 200 meters which is surrounded by the palm trees and ocean also has a beach towards the west. The island has been completely transformed with the addition of a hotel and a pier; however, the eastern part of the island is still undeveloped. The most prominent inclusions are the hotel rooms. Six buildings, with some trees around, have been built in the west of the island and nine buildings have been built right in the center.  Between the two accommodation areas, a reception building and a restaurant have also been set up. A pier has also been constructed on the south coast of the island, which allows yachts access to the resort. Apart from the trees, the beach remains the only natural feature to remain relatively untouched; however, it does appear that it is now serves as a swimming area.

Academic Task 1 Bricks Manufacturing Process

The diagram illustrates the process that is used to manufacture bricks for the building industry. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.  The diagram shows how bricks are made for the building industry.  Overall, brick manufacturing consists of seven consecutive steps. First the raw material, clay, which lies just below the surface of the soil in certain clay-rich areas, has to be dug up by a digger. Then the lumps of clay are placed on a metal grid in order to break up the big chunks of clay into much smaller ones, which fall through the metal grid onto a roller, whose motion further segregates the bits of clay. Sand and water are added to make a homogeneous mixture, which is then either formed in moulds or cut into brick-shaped pieces by means of a wire cutter.
