In my opinion, international tourism leads to the exploitation of local resources. On the other hand, it helps in economic growth and promoting peace.

One major concern is the potential exploitation of local resources. Uncontrolled tourism development may result in overcrowding, degradation of natural landscapes, and depletion of resources such as water and energy. Additionally, the influx of tourists can lead to increased pollution levels, including waste generation and carbon emissions. For example, in Peru, the tourism industry has led to the overcrowding of the sites and the degradation of the environment. Furthermore, the commercialization of local traditions and customs to cater to tourist demands may erode the authenticity and integrity of cultural practices. These negative impacts can disrupt the delicate balance of ecosystems, degrade local communities' way of life, and foster dependency on the tourism industry.
